Published By Charlene , 3 years ago

The Australian Government declared additional payments and claims for its citizens affected by the coronavirus.

A temporary $550 Coronavirus Supplement payment every two weeks shall be released starting 27 April 2020 for those who are eligible.

An extension of eligibility shall also be extended to cover more beneficiaries of the $750 Economic Support Payment released 31 March 2020. Such an extension will cover eligible payments from 12 March to 13 April 2020.

The Government also ordered to make the payments easier to claim.

If an individual is either self-isolating or providing care for those who are self-isolating, they will receive Crisis Payment.

Crisis payment is worth one week of an individual’s base income support payment rate.

The second $750 Economic Support Payment shall be released starting 13 July 2020. Eligibility for this payment will be for those who are eligible in previous payments and capable of acquiring a concession card on 10 July 2020. Also, the payment could not be received if you are already receiving the Coronavirus Supplement.
