Carers NSW sponsored two of My Community emerging projects. These projects are KCs House and Carers Café, which each seeks to establish support centres and carers in Bathurst and Penrith respectively.
My Community Project is a government-funded enterprise that works towards the creation and establishment of a support system for individuals and groups in local communities around NSW.
About KCs House
KCs House, which is located in Kandos within the Bathurst electorate, seeks to provide beds and support for local people with disability. KCs House provides respite spaces day and night, after school care, carer support meetings and constant support for people with disabilities and senior citizens.
About Carers Café
Carers Café is located in Emu Plains in the Penrith electorate. It provides opportunities for carers to be engaged in their local areas, spaces for peace of mind and information/referral drives that would cater to local carer support services.
How to vote
The eligibility of voting for supporting one of the My Community Projects are 16 years of age and resident of a local electorate.

2.1 Find the nearest Service NSW Centre. Click here
2.2 Enter suburb or postcode in the search bar.
2.3 After obtaining the necessary information, visit the nearest Service NSW Centre and vote for your favourite My Community Project
2. Vote Online
2.1 Click here and search for your local electorate and click ‘Browse projects’ button.
2.2 Look for your favourite My Community Project in the right-hand corner search bar.
2.3 Click the ‘Shortlist me’ button after finding your favourite project you wish to support.
2.4 Login to your MyService NSW account.
2.5 Verify your name and age through your Medicare number and your NSW residential address.
2.6 Shortlist an additional two to four projects and arrange them according to your preference.
2.7 Submit your vote.
