Carers Queensland Enquiry Line for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Local Area Coordination Partners in its application in the Community program (LAC PITC) is functional as of August 1, 2019.
The said Enquiry Line gives direct access to the central point of enquiries regarding the Local Area Coordination program of Carers Queensland NDIS.
The aims of the newly established enquiry line:
· Shorten enquiries in time and possible contacts
· Deliver satisfying customer experience to members using NDIS
· Provide consistent and high-quality service
· Serve as the central point of contact.
According to Jocelyn Wills, the incumbent Carers Queensland General Manager, the Enquiry Line 1300 999 636 will give people who access the program contact on one number or single line and provide the needs of the people on NDIS.
The Enquiry Line will link the concerned parties to their Local Area Coordinator, answer NDIS queries, gives information to involved people with disabilities and their families.
Wills stated that the scheme of NDIS with different Local Area Coordination offices as well as providers, the people are provided with the appropriate right door.
She also affirmed that she is positive regarding the new service provided by the NDIS Local Area Coordination program and is committed that it would be important for participants within the community.
Enquiry Officers are the individuals comprise the Enquiry Line. Their roles are considered to be critical in giving good quality and efficient service to the people involved.
Wills mentioned that since the Enquiry Line will serve as the central point of contact, it would not replace the enquiries the local site may receive; it should be noted as well that some enquiries are properly managed by the local team specifically in accessing specific local knowledge, maintenance of the Local Area Coordination and foster relationships through the enquiry.
Wills added that when the caller used the Enquiry Line, they will ensure that the connection to the Local office is secured.
