Securing Dignified Deaths in Aged Care Home Facilities

Securing Dignified Deaths in Aged Care Home Facilities

Published By Newly , 3 years ago

Healthcare workers have been experiencing distressing roles in their duties as they witness the demise of their own patients.

As COVID-19 outbreaks continue to affect aged-care home facilities, healthcare workers assure how they could strike a balance between performing their demanding roles and providing an opportunity for other duties.

One example would be on how they still find a way in making sure that their residents will have a dignified death.

Despite facing dreadful conditions as they battle with the pandemic, carers of aged care facilities ensure that they will be giving enough time for mourning.

An open letter written by Amanda Miha did not fail in recognising the value of healthcare workers who deliver their duties during these tough times.

She expressed her gratitude towards the staff who tirelessly deliver care during this challenging period in time. She said that without their contributions and efforts, the recovery of the aged care sector would not be possible at all.

She even thanked care workers who looked after his father in the facility before passing away. She said that healthcare workers also deserve better protection as they perform risky tasks such as taking care of an infectious patient.

Ms. Mina acknowledged the sacrifice of healthcare workers who radically changed their priorities for the call of duty. Most of them can’t even see and provide moral support to their families. She praised how these workers value their duties at all costs.

She recognised how each worker tries to fulfill their duties and obligations despite the inadequacy of the government to come up with their needs and demands.

She called out the government for its failure to deal with the issue of the security of healthcare workers. Ms. Mina said that the government should do its part in taking up responsibilities during this pandemic and not put the burden on healthcare workers alone.
