• Service: Respite Care Parking - Front of home Alerts - Phuoc has dementia and would like to have a male Vietnamese speaking carer that is experienced with dementia. Carer must speak Vietnamese.· Phuoc spits mucus from his mouth and nose and claps incessantly. Phuoc has good mobility and is known to wander so must never be left alone. Phuoc may need prompting to go to the toilet but is able to toilet independently.
• Tasks: Phuoc lives with his daughter Stephanie and her family. Phuoc's bedroom in on the bottom floor of the home and only goes upstairs to shower (he has Stephanie with him when he uses the stairs). Phouc has some behaviors (as above) and requires someone with dementia experience to support him. Consistency and continuity of carer and day and time are crucial as Stephanie has her own health issues and will make her appointments for the day and time of the services.
• What to expect: Dementia is wandering dementia client · Activity ideas: keep client occupied with activities and conversation · Equipment needed: any activities to keep client occupy.
