About the Role
We are a caring disability support provider seeking compassionate, reliable female Disability Support Workers to join our casual team. This role suits students or junior workers who hold Certificate III or Certificate IV in Disability, or equivalent training, and who want practical experience supporting people with complex care needs in home and community settings.

Position Summary
The Disability Support Worker provides high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with disabilities to assist them in achieving their goals, maintaining independence, and participating in community life. The role involves supporting participants with daily living activities, personal care, community access, and skill development in accordance with their NDIS plan and individual support plans.
The Disability Support Worker must demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and respect for the rights, dignity, and choices of all participants.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care Support- Assist participants with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Support with toileting, bathing, and mobility where required.
- Assist with medication prompts in accordance with organisational policies.
- Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Support participants with shopping and errands.
- Assist participants to maintain a safe and healthy home environment.
- Support participants to attend community activities, appointments, and social events.
- Encourage participation in recreational and social programs.
- Assist with travel and transport where required.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Encourage independence and confidence.
- Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate case notes and daily progress reports.
- Report incidents, concerns, or risks to the supervisor immediately.
- Follow organisational policies and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ensure a safe environment for participants and staff.
- Report hazards or incidents promptly.
