    • Certificate IV in Community Services or allied health field, or currently studying same
    • A working knowledge of accommodation and support options relevant to clients with complex support needs and substance use issues
    • Ability to work in culturally appropriate ways
    • A commitment to working with homeless people with addiction issues and an understanding of their needs.
    • Competent level of written and oral communication and computer literacy, in particular data entry
    • An ability to work effectively within a team structure

     

     

     

     

    JOB VACANCY

     

     

    Support Worker – SAARS West

     

     

     

    We have several casual positions available. Support Workers work a 24/7 rotating roster and are remunerated at Level 2 under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010.

    SAARS West is our 18 bed facility that provides counselling case management and accommodation for persons who are assessed as requiring a residential rehabilitation service.

     

    As a support worker you will work as part of a close knit team in an environment that can be challenging at times. You will have knowledge of; harm minimisation as it relates to alcohol and other drugs. In this role you will have a keen focus on maintaining our collaborative approaches to client service delivery.
