The Company
CareChoice is a specialist provider of experienced support staff in disability and complex care. CareChoice provides 24 hour support making a variety of different shifts available, including mornings, afternoons, active nights, sleepovers and weekends. We focus on providing the right person, on time, every time to contribute towards our clients achieving their goals.

The Role:
We have clients with complex support needs, requiring quality care for their individual programs in Ballarat and surrounding areas of Victoria. There are multiple clients requiring support with different care needs.

There are multiple positions available which include a variety of shift timeframes, (including sleepovers). Candidates must be prepared to do some shadow shifts prior to commencing with clients. 

Our clients have different support needs and you will need to experienced in managing different types of behaviours of concern and working with clients with intellectual disabilities.

Your tasks will include but not be limited to the following:

• Domestic assistance (inc cooking)
• Personal Care
• Build Rapport & Actively Engage with Client
• Behavioural Management
• Coordinate Social Outings - applicants must have a reliable car and licence with comprehensive insurance

Minimum requirements for this role include:

• Certificate IV in Disability or other relevant qualification is essential
• Previous training and experience with clients who have Behaviours of Concern
• Willing to apply for a new National Police Check at the time of recruitment 
• A current First Aid Level II Certificate - inclusive of CPR 
• A current EMPLOYEE Working With Children Check (Victorian)
• An International Police Check (where applicable)
• Willing to undertake a DWES check
