DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER- Nerang

About the Role:

Programmed Health Professionals are a leading provider of health care staff in Australia. We are currently seeking a Disability Support Worker to work with one of our home care clients on an on-going basis. We need someone who is extremely reliable and punctual, who has strong work ethics and is pro-active.

Our client is a young child based in Nerang who requires support 5 days a week. Shifts are ongoing and will be: Monday to Friday between 7.45 - 8.45am and 2.45 - 3.45pm, commencing ASAP. (Total of 10 hours a week).

The work is companionship care (no personal care), and requires the Support Worker to support the child with preparing for school, and walking them to school and settling the child into the classroom. The latter shift is collecting the child and walking them home, and settling them into the afternoon at home. The walk to the school is approx 10 minutes from the client's home.

What you need to have:

• Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support or Individual Support
• Minimum 6 months of recent disability experience
• Experience working with or volunteering with young children is preferred
• Valid First Aid Certificate
• Current Employee Blue Card
• National Police Check (We can arrange one for you if required)
