IRT Home Care, a division of the IRT Group, provides a range of services to people living in their own homes across NSW, QLD and the ACT. 

As a Home Care Employee, you will be joining a supportive and growing team that is passionate about providing general, personal and clinical care to our customers who remain living independently in their own homes. Due to current growth in the Canberra region and expansion of customers into Queanbeyan and the surrounding areas, we have multiple positions available for an immediate start. 

About the role:

• Providing personal care including showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Domestic assistance such as cleaning and household support 
• Transportation to appointments, shopping, social outings and other customer tasks
• Regular reporting and communicating customer progress 
• Following individual care plans 

To be successful you will have: 

• A Certificate III in Individual Support or a Certificate IV in Ageing Support
• The medications unit of competency (highly desirable)
• A current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
• A current unrestricted driver’s licence (regular driving is required)
• A reliable registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance (work related approved kilometres are paid fortnightly)
• Sound technology skills such as smart phones and computers 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of safe work practices and appropriate manual handling procedures
• The availability to work flexible hours such as weekdays, weekends, afternoons and/or evenings
