Personal Care Assistant / Worker — Casual (Ashfield NSW 2131)

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate male Personal Care Assistant to start immediately on a casual, hourly basis. This role suits someone who enjoys flexible shifts, values dignity and independence, and can travel to client homes across the local area.

• Personal care: Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting while preserving privacy and choice.
• Mobility support: Helping with transfers, safe manual handling, and supervised walking or use of mobility aids.
• Medication prompting: Reminding and supporting clients to take prescribed medications as directed (not administering injections unless qualified).
• Domestic assistance: Light household tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, shopping support, and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Companionship and wellbeing: Conversation, social connection, accompaniment to appointments and community activities, and monitoring overall wellbeing.
• Documentation: Accurate recording of care delivered, reporting changes in condition and communicating with care coordinators and families.

• Full Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle for travel to client locations.
• Current and valid Police Check.
• Working with Children Check (WWCC) cleared and current.
• Previous experience in aged care, disability support, community nursing assistance, or similar personal care roles preferred.
• Strong communication skills, empathy, cultural sensitivity and respect for client choice and independence.
• Ability to work flexibly across mornings, afternoons, evenings and occasional weekends on a casual basis.
