Registered Nurse – Glenfield
Exciting opportunities has become available for experienced Registered Nurse to join our fantastic care teams at Whiddon Easton Park on a casual basis.
You will need to be available for 3/4 shifts per week over a 24hr x 7 day roster
Easton Park at Glenfield provides care for over 500 residents in 5 residential buildings with 4 Dementia specific units that offer exceptional care and wellbeing support, hotel services, a range of accommodation options, social programs, dedicated carers and relationship based care.
This role involves you overseeing the clinical care team in an area that includes AIN’s and medication competent AIN’s. You will be supported by the Director Care Services, a Care Service Manager plus Afterhours Director Care Services.
YOUR DUTIES
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Managing clinical services outcomes as required by the Care Plan;
- Leading a team to deliver high level care by modelling a positive, fun and solutions focused approach;
- Overseeing the effective workforce planning and rostering of staff to ensure the delivery of care as required by the care plan;
- Managing and developing employees;
- Being a champion for client rights and the creation of a culture where clients are respected as individuals and reporting and addressing of client related concerns is supported.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency;
- A minimum of 2 years RN experience in aged care;
- Proven skills in clinical care, dementia care, clinical decision making and palliation;
- Committed to providing exceptional personalised clinical care to residents;
- Enjoys the challenge of managing the care team and supporting their care delivery to our residents;
- Previous experience in a leadership role;
- Previous experience in aged care preferred but not essential;
- Right to work unlimited hours in Australia.
