Profile Summary
Founded in benevolence, continuing the tradition

After 141 years, still as dedicated as ever
RFBI was founded in 1880 to assist those in need at a time when there were no Government funded social welfare programs. 141 years later, we still pride ourselves in fulfilling this role through provision of aged care services, and through our benevolence and annuity programs.

Over recent years, RFBI has responded to the issue of Australia's aging population and diversified its caring and benevolent role in the community with the development of aged care services. We own and operate residential care and retirement villages, providing comfortable and attractive homes for older Australians as well as home care services, enabling people to live safely in their own homes for longer

Currently RFBI has 20 retirement villages, 22 residential villages and covers 6 regions with Care at Home services across NSW and ACT. In total RFBI cares for in excess of 2,200 older community members.

Providing support to older Australians enabling them to age with dignity, in safe caring homes is core to RFBI's objectives. This is made possible by our dedicated and highly training staff who come to work each day with a genuine desire to look after those entrusted to their care to the very best of their ability.

With the assistance of the Federal Government's recurrent funding RFBI is confident that it will fulfil its objectives long into the future.

We invite you to visit your local RFBI Retirement Village or Residential Care Village and see our care first hand. We're also happy to discuss any Home Care needs you may have. We also recommend you review our Aged Care Guides, which provide an overview of everything you need to know to assist your journey through the aged care system

Benevolence Program
Since 1880 we have been providing assistance to those who need it. This assistance takes a number of forms, from research grants, donations to organisations for specific equipment and to individuals in the form of regular annuities to assist with living expenses.

Recent examples of help include special grants to children with disabilities, whose families are in financial difficulty. We provide wheelchairs and other essential equipment to make the children's lives more rewarding and ease the strain on their families.

Every request for assistance is considered on its own merits. If you, or someone you know, needs some help, please contact our office on 1800 181 959 to discuss how we may be able to help.

Area Insights
As you will see from our purpose, culture and values, compassionate, quality aged care is our first priority and we are proud to regularly receive letters of thanks from our clients, residents and their families showing that we are striving to achieve this objective. We are also proud of our dedication and fun loving staff who aim to ensure that every day is a great day for all our customers.

We regularly ask our residents and their families to provide us with feedback, to ensure we continuously improve our service delivery and add new activities and services to meet new or emerging needs.

Pleasingly from this feedback, well over 90% of respondents would recommend us to family and friends.

As a not for profit organisation, we reinvest all our funds back into our people and services.
