The Role:
Every day we work to earn the trust of the people we care for. We recognise and accept each unique person and support their overall wellbeing. In this rewarding role you will work independently providing services to people in their homes with every day being different. With your can do attitude, you will be responsible for the direct care of our clients ensuring they are able to "Live Life to the Full" in their homes.
These positions are based around Tweed Heads and surroundings.
Duties include:
- Assisting clients with a range of daily life activities
- Supporting clients with self-care including grooming, bathing and dressing
- Preparation of meals
- Accompanying to appointments and social activities
The Requirements:
The successful applicant will have the following attributes:
- Genuinely enthusiastic, caring and compassionate in your commitment to working with elderly people
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in aged care or a similar service based environment is a must
- Ability to work hands on in personal care
- A qualification in aged or community care is a must
- Ability to work between Mondays to Fridays, 8am to 5pm shifts
- A motor vehicle and valid driver’s license with flexibility to travel across neighbouring suburb during shifts
