Being a disability support worker while studying allied health

Published By Hireup , 1 week ago

Three Hireup support workers who studied allied health share how working in the disability sector prepared them for their future careers.

Maanav and Talia are two students currently undertaking allied health degrees while also working on Hireup, whereas Klara is now working full-time as an occupational therapist.

“It’s so much better than other jobs available to students,” Talia says. “I mean you get to work on those skills that you’re spending so much time learning at university, but you also get to build great relationships and have far more fun than you would in plenty of other jobs.”

In a video captured by Hireup, all three talk about the benefits of being a disability support worker while studying at university.
