CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
Course Details
This course provides students with skills to use a person centred approach to assist with personal care, based on client individual care plans, to assist with their personal care and encourage independence and well-being. Students who demonstrate competency in all units of competency will be granted a full nationally recognised Certificate III qualification.
We train our students to build skills in making judgements in relation to individual support in aged care as well as taking responsibility for their contributions to people’s lives.
Our students demonstrate a range of factual, technical, procedural and theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.
The course combines both theory and practical training, with the bulk of the learning and assessment in the workplace where learners will be practising newly acquired knowledge through delivery of skills in areas relating to personal care, assisting people to maintain independence in their home of choice and provide welfare and support services to assist some of the most vulnerable people in the community.

Entry Requirements​​​​​​
- 18 years at the commencement of the course.
- Australian Police Clearance Check required.
- Have a reasonable level of physical fitness to practice manual handing.
English Entry Requirements
- International Students are required to have IELTS 5.0 level or higher with no band less than 5.0; OR
- An Upper Intermediate level certificate from ELICOS; OR
- Completed at least 6 months of study in an Australian educational institution.
