As a Support Worker, you will become a valued part of a dedicated and Compassionate team, who believe in providing outstanding service to clients in need.
About the Role
The successful candidate/s will need to have flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Supporting our clients in their home, community, and respite care accommodation with:
- Complex support - Behavior/Medical/Mental Health.
- Domestic Assistance
- Personal Care
- Meal Preparation
- Community Participation
- Excursions - Group Activities
- Transport
- All other aspects of daily living as per their NDIS Plan
About you:
- Attitude to go above and beyond with compassion and integrity
- Work unsupervised
- Desire to work with people with a wide range of interests, complexity and abilities
- Uphold the National Disability Standards
- Demonstrate good listening skills and build rapport and trust between clients
- Experience working in the Aged Care, Community Care or Disability Sector
Mandatory Requirements:
- Certificate III in Home and Community Care, Aged Care, Individual Support or Disability, Mental Health (Or working towards)
- Huntington's Disease experience (desirable, training provided)
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
- Valid driver’s license (preferrable manual)
- Reliable Vehicle
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- First Aid certificate
- CPR certificate
- Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- NDIS Modules (or willing to obtain)
- Smart phone with reliable internet
- Able to support with Inactive sleepover shifts.
