Newly by HealthcareLink partners with SSI to support the Home Care Workforce Program to efficiently attract care workers and connect them with the best-matched jobs

Published By Newly , 1 year ago

Sydney, October 02, 2023 – app.newly.com.au, Australia's leading care & support workers careers network and marketplace, announced today that it has formalised a key partnership with Settlement Services Australia (SSI)  who manages the Homecare workforce program to attract new workers to the home care sector and help to place them with approved Home care providers across NSW & ACT.

Newly's core function is to attract Care and Support workers and match to place them with jobs across Australia. Newly is well-positioned to serve as an advantageous strategic partner for SSI, offering services to facilitate the attracting, registering, screening, matching, and placement of candidates with providers throughout Australia via the program. Leveraging the Newly's existing 110,000 registered care workforce and the advanced award winning technology platform and its exceptional candidate management capabilities, the partnership aims to increase placement rates from pre-boarding to on-boarding of candidates with approved providers.

This partnership will help home care providers to find the best-suited candidate as efficiently as possible, and in turn, provide workers who want to enter the care sector or already working in the sector with a broader pool of their most suitable job opportunities. We hope that with better-matched, higher-quality employment, there will be greater employee satisfaction, higher numbers of retention and more positive outcomes for the elderly needing care.

Iggy Pintado, Head of Home Care Support Program at SSI said that "The utilisation of Newly's technology platform and it's consultants will accelerate the onboarding and placement of pre-screened candidates, thereby elevating the placement rates and helping to achieve the goal of the Home Care Workforce Support Program (HCWSP)". He further added "By gaining access to the Newly platform, the Home care Workforce program can effectively promote its offerings and draw in a greater number of candidates, ultimately leading to increased uptake of work options within the program and Utilise the growing network of  100,000+ professionals to drive referrals to this program"

With this partnership Newly will facilitate connections between registered members and RTOs (Registered Training Organizations) and appropriate training institutions, enabling them to fulfill the necessary requirements for certificates III, IV, or short courses essential for employment in the Home care sector.

Kopi Nadarjah, CEO and FOunder of Newly and HealthcareLink, said  "This further solidifies Newly's position as a prominent career services provider in the Home care sector of Australia."

Kopi also mentioned that "Members of the Newly community seeking employment who don't have home care experience will be provided with the chance to receive training via the Home Care workforce program  and access employment opportunities within the Home care sector."

Newly will have the opportunity to further collaborate with SSI to implement innovative solutions to alleviate identified barriers in attracting and retaining care workers.
