The Aged Care Quality Standards

All Australian Government-funded aged care services must comply with Aged Care Quality Standards. The Aged Care Quality Standards define what quality care should look like wherever care is delivered.

By completing this module it is anticipated that you will be able to describe:

• the basis for the development and use of the Aged Care Quality Standards
• the essential features of the 8 Standards  
• the responsibilities of the aged care service provider to align and report on performance against the Quality Standards 

Completion of this module will help you to translate the Quality Standards into quality care as part of your role in the aged care system.  A Certificate of Completion will be awarded upon successful completion.
