Established in 1984, Community Living for the Disabled Incorporated provided long-term accommodation and support for young adults who had reached a stage where their ‘real' options had narrowed to either Living at home with parents, inappropriate placement in limited support accommodation services, or improper institutional placement.
The service at that time consisted of one house and two units, providing accommodation support for five adult individuals with varying levels of physical and intellectual capability.
