ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Community Support Workers provide high-quality services to frail aged residents aged over 65, younger people with disabilities, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders over 50, people living with Mental Health issues, people living with Dementia and their carers who are registered with My Aged Care.

This is a part-time role from Wednesdays - Thursdays, 9 am - 4:30 pm.

In this role you will be transporting and accompanying consumers on their personal individual appointments, and accompanying and supporting consumers on various social outings in and around the local community.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to undertake initial home assessments, risk assessments and care planning updates/revisions.
  • Record and maintain case notes using Microsoft 365 Word and Excel daily in client files.
  • High organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under any unforeseen circumstances.
  • Minimum Certificate IV in Aged Care.
  • Full Drivers Licence with a minimum of 8-points
  • Willing to undertake a Working with Children Check.
  • Willing to undertake a National Criminal History check.
  • Possess or be willing to undertake First-Aid including CPR training.
  • Salary paid under SCHADS award commencing at Level 2.1
