Rural Locum Assistance Program Aged Care
We are an Australian Government-funded Rural Locum Assistance Program (Rural LAP) and a component of their rural workforce capacity agenda. The program recently expanded to provide targeted support to eligible aged care services in rural and remote Australia. Our focus is supporting aged care facilities impacted by sudden departures, annual leave, and training. We find suiable locums to back-fill positions, ensuring service delivery continues for rural and remote aged care services across Australia.
The program is responsible for all the administration associated with recruiting appropriate locums. We arrange and cover all payments for your travel, accommodation, and incentives during the placement. The hosting organisation is responsible for paying wages (including penalties, superannuation and applicable taxes) for your placement period.
Rural LAP Aged Care supports locum requests for health and aged care disciplines such as registered and enrolled nurses, residential aged care facility managers, allied health professionals, residential support workers, personal care workers, care coordinators and community support workers.
